He is Abu al-Qasim bin Abbas bin Firnas Altadena, and he was born in 810 AD. He was an inventor and philosopher and poet of the Andalusian “Spain poet collection”. Abbas bin Firnas was born of Berber origin of what is now known as Cordoba, Spain. He had interests in mathematics, astronomy, chemistry, and physics. People know him as the first pilot in history for his mad efforts for aviation. Although the name Ibn Firnas is linked with his daring attempt to fly a thousand years ago, and to start manufacturing the plane. The invention of glass transparent , lenses vision correction, pen ink, water clock, developed method to monitor the universe and celestial bodies are not as important as his experience in aviation. He studied the movement of wings of birds carefully and used his mathematical skills to calculate the fit of his body speed and wind speed. Then he made a robe decorated with feathers on his sleeves to be a like winged birds
In the area of writing, Ibn Firnas made the first ink pen in history. He made a cylinder connected to a small container of ink flowing through to the end of the edge of the disc-related brushes for writing. He also expanded the study of glass and was able to develop it to serve humans.
He made copies of the initial vision correction lenses, transparent glass free of color. Ibn Firnas died in 274 AH (887 AD).
